The Panel

The Spook Room is a purpose built "panel" of Australian women aged 18-45 who are current regular magazine buyers. They have registered their email addresses with the Spook Room and are rewarded for completing surveys.

To qualify for the panel they must buy at least one magazine every month. Many of our panel buy one magazine a week. They have volunteered to be on our survey and experience shows the majority will respond within 24 hours of receiving the email.

Users of the Spook Room can send confidential questionnaires to anything from a minimum of 500 up to 2,000 members of the panel using our unique panel research software.

The facility exists for clients to select people from the panel using a range of filters, including age, location, interests and prior magazine purchasing habits. Typically, a client may choose to mail a group of people who have been recent buyers of their own magazine or alternatively, a group of people who are recent purchasers of a competitor title.

Uniquely, clients have the opportunity to access their survey results directly and confidentially through a secure password protected connection. Alternatively, our experienced magazine publishing experts can analyse the data and provide unique strategic insight.

The Spook Room is unique in that the entire panel is made up of current buyers of magazines, not casual passing readers. It offers insights that traditional research cannot match.
